Collect Virtual Connect Support Dump of HP c-Class Blade Enclosures

In my last article I showed the steps needed to collect Onboard Administrator and Virtual Connect Show All report.
In this article I will show you the steps to collect Virtual Connect Support Dump from HP c-Class Enclosures.

To collect the VC SupportDump you would need Virtual Connect Support Utility i.e. vcsu. You can download the vcsu tool from official HPE page depending upon the platform where it has to be installed.
Below is a link where you can get vcsu 1.12.0 for Windows platform

NOTE: This link will take you to a third party website
Once downloaded install it in your system, make sure the user has administrative privilege over the desktop/laptop where vcsu is being installed.
Next navigate to the below folder.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett Packard Enterprise\Virtual Connect Support Utility
The above location may vary depending upon the vcsu version and architecture.
Here click "VCSU-CommandPrompt.cmd" or open a "command prompt" by clicking "Shift + Right mouse (touchpad) button" and select "Open command window here" as shown below

And type the below command in the provided syntax on the command window
Syntax:

vcsu -a supportdump -i <Active_OA_IP> -u HPadmin -p <OA_HPadmin_Password> -vcu HPadmin -vcp <VC_HPadmin_Password>

For eg:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett Packard Enterprise\Virtual Connect Support Utility>vcsu -a supportdump -i 192.168.0.100 -u HPadmin -p Passw0rd -vcu HPadmin -vcp

VCSU log file is available at the following location:
C:\Users\deepak\AppData\Loca\lTempvcsu-2076.log

The support dump is stored inside "C:\Users\deepak\AppData\Local\Temp" as below

vcSupportInfo-Deepak_domain-201705211708

NOTE: The same command can be used on a Linux platform assuming vcsu rpm is installed to collect the VC Support Dump.
